At GoodGeeky, we value great stories. We also believe that humans are best placed to tell those stories no matter the subject.
That being said, we do not shy away from using new and emerging technologies to help us tell those stories. We are a tech publication after all!
Reading between the lines, this sort of suggests that we use generative AI in some way, shape or form when we create content for publication. And yeah, that’s exactly what we do.
But, but, but… You can rest assured that we will never publish fully machine-generated content. Humans are involved throughout the content production process.
Here’s how we produce our content from start to publication and beyond:
- A human person who is an experienced writer will come up with an idea for an interesting story. Sometimes they will use generative AI to research potential story ideas based on a given topic. Other times, the human will do all of the work themselves.
- A human person – usually the same one (we are still a small publication) – will use a combination of domain knowledge, online resources and generative AI to research and outline the story. Where AI is used, the human will never just accept the first and best thing the AI comes up with.
- A human person (Once again! 😁 See where we are going with this?) – will write up the article based on the research done in the previous step. At this stage, they will often get some help from generative AI in order to get a passable first draft written up in the shortest amount of time possible.
- A human person will edit the draft created in the previous step. If generative AI helped us out in that step, we will pay particular attention to removing and rewriting all of those lame cliches and substandard language that generative AI still seems to love using.
- A human person (yeah, we know you expected this, but it bears repeating) will review and fact check all content prior to publication, because all of our content is always reviewed by a human.
Please note that while all of our content is human reviewed and fact checked, we may sometimes get things wrong. Because yeah, we are still human. If you notice errors in our content, please let us know.
And finally, our content is for informational purposes only and should not be relied upon as fact or advice. You should always do your own research and fact checking before using anything you find on the interwebs as anything but general information which may or may not be correct.
